Terms of Service

These terms govern your access to and use of Garage Guild, including our website, garage directory, review tools, account features, communications, and any related services we provide.

By using Garage Guild, creating an account, submitting a listing or review, or otherwise accessing the service, you agree to these terms. If you use the service on behalf of a garage, company, partnership, or other organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation.

Garage Guild helps drivers find specialist garages and helps garages present their business, collect reviews, and manage public profile information. We are an information and directory platform. We are not a garage, mechanic, vehicle inspector, broker, agent, insurer, finance provider, or professional adviser.

Listings, ratings, reviews, guides, prices, locations, availability, and other information are provided for general information only. You are responsible for making your own checks before choosing, contacting, instructing, paying, or relying on any garage or third party.

Garage owners and authorised representatives are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and completeness of listing information, including services, qualifications, availability, location, pricing, affiliations, trademarks, images, links, and claims about expertise.

We may create, edit, supplement, reorder, categorise, verify, reject, remove, or otherwise manage listings to operate the directory, improve quality, prevent misuse, comply with law, or protect users. We do not guarantee any ranking, traffic, leads, enquiries, conversion, revenue, or continued availability of any listing.

Unless we agree otherwise in writing, free listings may be changed, limited, replaced, monetised, or discontinued at any time. We may introduce paid features, eligibility requirements, verification requirements, sponsored placements, or additional terms.

You keep ownership of content you submit, but you grant Garage Guild a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable licence to host, store, copy, display, publish, adapt, edit, excerpt, translate, distribute, promote, analyse, and otherwise use that content to operate, improve, protect, and market the service.

You confirm you have all rights and permissions needed to submit the content and grant this licence. You waive, and will procure the waiver of, any moral rights to the extent permitted by law where needed for us to use the content as described.

Garage Guild, our branding, design, software, code, databases, text, graphics, structure, compilation, and other materials are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property and other laws.

You may use the service for its intended purpose only. No rights are granted except as expressly stated in these terms. Brand names, vehicle marques, garage names, and third-party trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only unless stated otherwise.

Any dealings between drivers and garages or other third parties are solely between those parties. We are not responsible for quotes, bookings, inspections, workmanship, parts, warranties, advice, payments, disputes, losses, vehicle damage, delays, cancellations, or conduct by any garage or third party.

We may provide links, maps, phone numbers, emails, directions, or other third-party tools. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their availability, terms, content, or practices.

We may update, suspend, withdraw, restrict, replace, redesign, or discontinue any part of Garage Guild at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or permanent availability.

We may change these terms from time to time. The updated terms apply when posted, unless a later effective date is stated. If you continue using the service after changes take effect, you accept the updated terms.

Garage Guild is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, representations, conditions, and terms that are not expressly set out in these terms.

We do not warrant that listings, reviews, ratings, distances, availability, claims, recommendations, prices, or other information are accurate, complete, current, suitable, or reliable. Verification and moderation are quality measures, not guarantees.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any statutory rights that cannot be excluded.

Subject to the previous sentence, Garage Guild will not be liable for indirect, consequential, special, punitive, exemplary, or business losses, including loss of profit, revenue, goodwill, data, opportunity, savings, reputation, or business interruption.

Subject to the first sentence of this section, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the service or these terms will be limited to the greater of GBP 100 or the amount you paid us for the service giving rise to the claim in the 12 months before the claim arose.

If you use Garage Guild on behalf of a garage, business, or organisation, you agree to indemnify Garage Guild against losses, liabilities, claims, costs, damages, and expenses arising from your listings, content, services, customer dealings, breach of these terms, unlawful conduct, or infringement of third-party rights.

We may suspend, restrict, remove, or terminate your access, account, listings, reviews, or content at any time where we reasonably consider it necessary to protect users, preserve review integrity, operate the service, comply with law, manage risk, investigate issues, or enforce these terms.

You may stop using the service at any time. Some content, records, and public information may remain available after account closure where needed for legitimate business, legal, moderation, safety, or directory integrity purposes.

These terms and any dispute or claim arising from them or the service are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction, except that consumers may also have rights to bring claims in their country of residence where applicable law requires it.
